My name is Aman. I am a software engineer. I am still relatively new to Toronto and honestly have not built much of a network here. So I decided to stop waiting for that to happen on its own.

I started working from cafes after work on Thursdays. Just me, a coffee, and my laptop. Over time I started noticing something. Everyone wants to build something incredible but all we do is talk to ChatGPT or Claude. It makes you feel like you are making progress. But honestly the next good idea is not going to come from staring at a screen. It is going to come from a conversation with someone you have not met yet.

That is why I started Build and Brew Thursdays.

I have spent 7 years building systems across fintech, e-commerce, and data infrastructure. I have seen what works and what blows up at 2am. I am not here to sell you anything. I am here because I genuinely want to understand what you are building and what is getting in the way.

If you are a founder or professional, bring your messy problems. The vendor that keeps overpromising. The process that takes three people to do what should take one. The tool your team hates but nobody has time to replace. The thing that feels like it should not be this hard. I want to hear it.
